SOCAR plans to open dozens of fuel stations in Italy
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR plans to open 25 new fuel stations in Italy under its brand in 2026.
The company told Trend that it currently operates 564 fuel stations outside Azerbaijan under the SOCAR brand, including 87 in Austria, 223 in Switzerland, 54 in Ukraine, 103 in Georgia, 83 in Romania, and 14 in Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports.
SOCAR also announced plans to expand its network within the country. The company recalled that the first fuel station put into operation in the liberated territories was a SOCAR PETROLEUM CJSC station, launched to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply for vehicles during construction works.
It added that a long-term development strategy is currently being prepared, and once approved, work will begin this year to open new fuel stations across Azerbaijan.
