SOCAR polymer exports reach $35.7 million in early 2026
SOCAR Polymer LLC exported polymer products valued at $35.7 million in January–February 2026, according to the March issue of the Export Review from the Centre for Economic Reforms and Communication.
Its revenue rose by $5.4 million, or 17.8%, compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Notably, Azerbaijan’s total non-oil and gas sector exports grew 19.7% over the first two months of 2026, reaching $580.1 million.
Founded on July 16, 2013, SOCAR Polymer was established under Azerbaijan’s accelerated chemical industry development program.
Its production facilities include a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant and a polypropylene (PP) plant, both located in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.
The plants, which became operational in 2018 and 2019, have an annual production capacity of 184,000 tons of polypropylene and 120,000 tons of HDPE.
SOCAR, Azerbaijan’s state oil company, holds a 57% stake in SOCAR Polymer.
