SOCAR president, Moldovan minister discuss global energy projects

President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with Energy Minister of the Republic of Moldova Victor Parlicov on March 1.

The sides stressed that the implementation of global energy projects initiated by Azerbaijan, including the Southern Gas Corridor, makes an important contribution to ensuring Europe’s energy security, SOCAR told Azertac.

The important steps have been taken towards expanding cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including the energy sector, the oil and gas industry.

The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

The Southern Gas Corridor project aims to increase and diversify European energy supply by bringing gas resources from the Caspian Sea to markets in Europe.
