SOCAR to sign major deals on renewables, oil exploration during upcoming Baku Energy Week
A series of significant agreements on renewable energy and oil and gas exploration are expected to be signed during Baku Energy Week, according to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the major industry event, SOCAR spokesperson Orkhan Huseynov stated that the company will actively participate in the week's activities, presenting its latest projects aimed at decarbonization, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to him, SOCAR’s projects in the field of decarbonisation will be showcased at the company’s stand during the event.
"In addition, detailed information will be provided about the documents signed by SOCAR in the field of renewable energy, as well as within the framework of COP29. Several important documents related to renewable energy and oil and gas exploration are also expected to be signed during Baku Energy Week," Huseynov said.
Notably, Baku Energy Week is a prominent annual event held in Baku, Azerbaijan, that brings together global leaders, experts, and stakeholders in the energy sector to discuss and showcase developments in oil, gas, and renewable energy. The 2025 edition is scheduled for June 2–4 and comprises three major events:

The event facilitates international cooperation, investment discussions, and the signing of significant agreements, contributing to the country's energy sector growth and diversification.
