SOCAR Türkiye, the subsidiary of SOCAR and the largest foreign investor in Türkiye, has partnered with the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation (GİRVAK) to launch the "Women’s Energy Programme".
The eight-month initiative targets socially and economically disadvantaged women who are neither employed nor in education (NEET) in the Aliağa district of Izmir, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
According to SOCAR Türkiye, the programme will offer a wide range of training, including basic computer skills, professional development, financial literacy, and e-commerce, along with workshops focused on personal growth, confidence-building, and stress management.
The programme initially involving 50 women will also provide mentorship to help participants develop business ideas, solve complex challenges, and gain the support they need for entrepreneurial success.
"We believe in the power of women to transform their communities, and this programme will equip them with the tools and knowledge to become economically and socially independent," the statement said.
In addition, the initiative will feature seminars with female leaders from SOCAR Türkiye and organize social and volunteer activities to strengthen community ties and foster solidarity among participants.
The ultimate goal of the programme is to offer women the resources, skills, and motivation needed to thrive independently in both their personal and professional lives.
