SOCAR, Uniper explore enhanced strategic partnership in energy sector

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the German company Uniper are exploring opportunities to further strengthen their strategic partnership in the energy sector.

These discussions were held during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Uniper SE board member and Chief Commercial Officer Carsten Poppinga, Caliber.Az reports per SOCAR.

The conversation highlighted the successful implementation of the existing agreement between the two companies for the purchase and sale of natural gas from the Shah Deniz field.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the potential for expanding cooperation in areas such as gas supply, energy transition, and energy efficiency.
