SOFAZ releases oil output forecast for two onshore fields
Oil production output levels at Azerbaijan's Mishovdag and Kelameddin onshore fields are expected to reach 620 000 barrels.
These figures have been published in the final budget of the Azerbaijan State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) for 2025, as reviewed by the Chamber of Accounts.
As Caliber.Az reports citing Report publication, this forecast aligns with the figures for 2023 and previously made projections for 2024.
Both fields are located approx. 120 kilometres southwest from the capital Baku, near the city of Hajigabul
The Mishovdag field, where 754 wells have been drilled, has been in operation since 1956 while the Kelameddin field, situated in the central part of the namesake ridge near Hajigabul station, has 151 wells. The field was discovered in 1978 and put into operation in 1980. Both fields are operated by the Karasu Operating company, a subsidiary of Canada-based Nations Energy.
