Switzerland moves ahead of Türkiye in Azerbaijani non-oil imports
Russia remained the top importer of Azerbaijan’s non-oil products in January 2026, while Switzerland recorded sharp growth and exports to Türkiye declined, per the monthly report released by Azerbaijan's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
In January, Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $77 million to Russia, down 4.9% compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports.
Switzerland ranked second, with imports surging by 73.9% year-on-year to reach $38.6 million. In 2025 overall, Switzerland had ranked fourth among Azerbaijan’s non-oil export destinations.
Georgia placed third, importing $31.6 million worth of Azerbaijani non-oil products, marking a 19.2% increase.
Türkiye and Ukraine took fourth and fifth places, respectively. Exports to Türkiye totalled $31.5 million, reflecting a 15.1% decline, while shipments to Ukraine stood at $15.2 million, down 30.3% year-on-year.
