Switzerland to ensure safe flight for Russian delegation to Geneva talks

Swiss authorities have committed to ensuring the safe passage of the Russian delegation’s aircraft for upcoming negotiations in Geneva, according to TASS, citing a source.

“Of course, Switzerland, as the host, will play a role in ensuring the security of the delegations’ arrival,” the source told the agency.

The third round of trilateral talks between Russia, the US, and Ukraine on conflict resolution is scheduled for February 17–18. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that Geneva was chosen as the venue due to the alignment of all three parties’ schedules.

Energy-related ceasefire measures are expected to be discussed during the negotiations.
