Tartar landmine blast victim has his foot amputated UPDATED
The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has said that Asif Huseynov from Seyidimli village had his foot amputated.
“Huseynov was wounded as a result of the explosion of an anti-personnel mine in the direction of Tapakand village of the Tartar district on November 5. The demining work was not carried out there. Huseynov’s right foot was amputated,” ANAMA told Report.
“ANAMA once again calls on citizens not to enter dangerous areas, be responsible, and follow the established rules,” ANAMA added.

A 58-year-old man has been blown up on a mine in Tartar district.
On November 5 around 12:00, the police received information about a mine explosion at an undeveloped area in the village of Tapakand in Tartar district, Report informs, citing Azerbaijani Interior Ministry.
As a result of the incident, Asif Novruz oglu Huseynov, a resident of Seyidimli village, born in 1965, was wounded in the leg.
An investigation is underway into the fact.
"Once again we urge citizens not to penetrate unmined territories and observe the established rules," the press service added.
