Tashkent conference to host Azerbaijan’s space industry presentation
Azerbaijan will present its plans for the advancement of the national space industry during a special briefing scheduled for April 1 as part of the STC 2026 Space Technology Conference in Tashkent.
According to domestic media, citing the event organisers, the briefing will be delivered by Dunay Bedirkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
The conference is set to open on March 30 and will run for three days.
Organisers also recalled that the previous forum, STC 2025, was hosted in Azerbaijan. During that event, Azercosmos signed a memorandum of understanding with the Stars International University of Uzbekistan.
The agreement предусматривает expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in education, scientific research, and the development of the space industry. It also includes provisions for exchanging knowledge and expertise in the space sector, as well as promoting economic, industrial, scientific-technical, and technological collaboration, including cooperation in information and communication technologies.
