Three Russian teenagers face trial for sabotage
Three teenagers in Russia’s Kaliningrad region will face trial over a series of attacks on regional infrastructure, the regional office of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) said on Telegram.
According to the investigation, the group was led by a 17-year-old resident of Sovetsk, assisted by two 16-year-olds, per Caliber.Az.
In December 2024, the young saboteurs set fire to three distribution and switching base stations of mobile operators. They also damaged the cable line of a base station. All of their actions, including escape routes, were coordinated through a messenger by an unknown handler.
The teenagers sent video reports of their crimes to the instructor, recording the incidents on their mobile phone cameras. The crimes were detected by the FSB’s Kaliningrad branch and the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigation has collected sufficient evidence, and the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court for trial.
