Tokayev praises Putin's contribution to Kazakhstan-Russia relations
Kazakh President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has sent a congratulatory letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in which he said that Kazakhstan and Russia have built a truly allied relationship of strategic partnership over 30 years.
The presidential press service reports that in his message, Tokayev said that the two states have built a truly allied strategic partnership based on strong bonds of friendship, good neighbourliness, and common historical and spiritual values.
The Kazakh president also noted Vladimir Putin's personal contribution to the development of relations between the two states, which, Tokayev pointed out, has made possible the modern image of exemplary Kazakh-Russian cooperation.
He stressed that Russia has become a reliable trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan and one of the leading investors in the country's economy.
"Kazakhstan and Russia are closely cooperating on multilateral platforms, as well as within the framework of integration associations in the Eurasian space, which meets the long-term interests of the states," the text of the congratulation reads.
