Georgian PM denies customs delays for Azerbaijani drivers Kobakhidze responds to Caliber.Az report
Recently, Caliber.Az published a report on the unlawful actions of the Georgian customs authorities toward Azerbaijani drivers, including the unjustified delays in their passage. The report alone received over 25,000 views on our website and was actively cited by Georgian media.
Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to the situation. Answering a question from BM.GE, he claimed that no such incident had occurred, and that the delay allegedly involved only one vehicle: “I double-checked, and such an incident did not occur. As far as I know, the delay concerned only one truck — and even that for a specific reason. We are ready to discuss any arising difficulties in the most friendly manner.”
Well, for the sake of official Tbilisi, we are providing video footage in which Azerbaijani drivers describe the real situation and complain about the arbitrariness of certain Georgian officials.
