Top 10 destinations for Azerbaijani oil
Azerbaijan's top oil export destination for January-June 2024 was Italy, receiving 4,273,815.04 tonnes of oil, a 13% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The value of oil exports to Italy also fell by 9.5%, totalling $2,721,313,395.00, Caliber.Az cites the State Customs Committee's report.
Israel ranked second, importing 1,583,289.20 tonnes of Azerbaijani oil, a 55% increase, worth $989,074,030.00, reflecting a 56.7% rise.
India was third, purchasing 891,896.27 tonnes of oil, a 13.2% decline, at $567,774,740.00, marking a 7% decrease.
The remaining countries in the top ten are listed as follows: Czech Republic - 762,922.79 tonnes valued at $490,938,390.00; Croatia - 587,571.52 tonnes worth $375,978,780.00; Germany - 440,731.51 tonnes valued at $293,886,910.00; Thailand - 376,876.12 tonnes costing $234,238,660.00; Portugal - 349,833.85 tonnes valued at $225,407,220.00; Romania - 344,418.52 tonnes worth $212,236,450.00; and Tunisia - 256,640.09 tonnes costing $163,897,060.00.
Overall, Azerbaijan exported 11,098,802.29 tonnes of oil to 20 countries from January to June 2024, a 13.4% decrease from the previous year, with a total value of $7,012,103,620.00, down 10.1%.
