Trade turnover between Iran, Azerbaijan increase
Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organisation Alireza Peyman-Pak has said that the bilateral trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan increased by 100 per cent in July 2022 compared to July 2021.
“This increase is reasonable and stable,” APA's Tehran bureau quotes Peyman-Pak as saying.
He also noted Iran's readiness to trade with the Eurasian Economic Union member states, the market of which is worth billions of US dollars.
“Today we see an increase in trade volumes not only with Russia but also with Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
Peyman-Pak added that currently, Iran has vast markets for building materials, machinery, and medical and industrial equipment. Agreements were reached to intensify business ties in these spheres, according to him.
