Transit of heavy trucks via Azerbaijan increases by almost 30%

The number of heavy trucks which are transited through Azerbaijan’s Port of Baku increased by 29.5 per cent.

A great increase in the turnover of heavy trucks which are transported among Europe, Türkiye and Central Asia through the Port of Baku was observed in the Port of Baku amid new realities, the creation of a comfortable environment and infrastructure opportunities for logistics companies and port users, Port of Baku told Report.

Thus, 18,075 trucks were transported through the Port of Baku during the first six months of last year compared to 23,410 trucks during the first six months of 2022, which shows an increase of 29.5 per cent.
