Transneft: Russia exports 100m tons of oil to China, 70m tons to India in 2023

Russian Transneft company CEO Nikolay Tokarev has said that shipments of Russian oil to China totaled around 100 million tons in 2023, while supplies to India roughly amounted to 70 million tons.

“Shipments of Russian oil to China totaled around 100 million tons in 2023, while supplies to India roughly amounted to 70 million tons. New export directions have also appeared,” Tokarev told the Rossiya-24 TV channel, according to TASS.

"Export volumes to China, and India surged multifold, with around 70 million tons of oil having been supplied to India and roughly 100 million tons - to China. New directions such as Egypt, Morocco, Myanmar, and Pakistan have just recently appeared," he said.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said earlier that Moscow supplied more oil to China in the first 10 months of 2023 than during the whole of 2022.
