Turkic States create new Union of Audit Institutions in Istanbul
A new Union of Supreme Audit Institutions of Turkic States (TÜRKSAİ) has been established in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The union brings together the top audit bodies of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Chamber of Accounts.
The Azerbaijani delegation at the event was led by Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts.
The founding declaration establishing TÜRKSAİ was signed by the heads of the supreme audit institutions of all five countries.
Speaking at the meeting, Gulmammadov stressed that the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is not only a platform for cultural and economic cooperation but also an emerging center of power on the global stage.
“Turkic-speaking countries share a common geography, culture, and history, and strengthening the exchange of experience is one of our key priorities,” he added.
