Turkish, Armenian leaders discuss regional peace in New York meeting VIDEO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in New York, where the two leaders focused on the normalization of bilateral relations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the meeting, which took place at the Turkish House in New York, Erdogan reiterated Ankara's commitment to supporting lasting peace between Baku and Yerevan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He emphasized Türkiye's active efforts in promoting this goal and noted the significant progress towards normalizing relations between Türkiye and Armenia without any preconditions.
Erdogan expressed his sincere hope for the continuation of constructive dialogue between the two nations and underscored Türkiye’s readiness to facilitate further developments in this process.
Earlier, in his address to the UN General Assembly, Erdogan highlighted Türkiye's role in supporting the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He voiced optimism about the potential positive outcomes of ongoing negotiations, stating that normalized ties between Baku and Yerevan would not only contribute to regional peace but also have a beneficial impact on Türkiye’s relations with Armenia.
