Turkish business keen on developing silk production in Nakhchivan
The Ministry of Agriculture of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) considers the possibility of cooperation with Turkish investors in the development of coconut and silk farming.

During the meeting at the ministry, the Turkish investors were told about the reforms carried out in the agrarian sector of the autonomous republic and exchanged views on potential cooperation opportunities.
In particular, the sides discussed the development of coconut and silk breeding in the exclave. It was noted that the development of these sectors is one of the priority objectives of the "State Program of Socio-Economic Development of the NAR for 2023-2027".
The ministry recalled that last year about 40,000 mulberry tree seedlings were planted in the autonomous republic.
