Turkish FM says Azerbaijan, Türkiye keen to normalise ties with Armenia
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that both Azerbaijan and Türkiye are sincerely interested in normalizing relations with Armenia.
He made the remarks on October 20 in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil District, Report informs.
Meetings between the special representatives of Armenia and Türkiye continue.
"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Prague. In the near future, special representatives will also continue their meetings," the minister said.
The minister added that some steps have been taken to increase confidence: "Airspace has been opened and direct flights between the two countries have begun. We made similar sincere gestures. We always say that both Azerbaijan and Türkiye are sincerely committed to normalizing relations."
