Turkish forces kill one of PKK leaders in Iraq
The officers of the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) have killed dangerous Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist Huseyin Shibli (Ferhat Derik) in Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah province.
“The Syrian terrorist planned to create a new terrorist group in Iraq by establishing relations with third countries outside the region,” Anadolu Agency quotes the Turkish security sources as saying on June 19.
Shibli was one of the close affiliates of Ferhat Abdi Shahin, code-named "Shahin Jilo", one of the leaders of the terrorists of the so-called "Qandil administration" in Syria.
Moreover, Shibli joined the terrorists during PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan’s activities in Syria.
He was involved in terrorist activities in Syria’s Aleppo city, and in Ghara and Qandil regions in northern Iraq.
Shibli was appointed a member of the so-called "Executive Council" in the areas controlled by the PKK terrorist organisation in 2014.
He became co-chairman of the so-called "Central Council of the Syrian Autonomous Administration" in 2019.
