Turkish minister: Gas exports via TANAP to Europe to double in next 3-4 years
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, has said that gas exports to Europe via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) will double and reach 20 billion cubic metres during the next 3-4 years.
“The increase in gas exports via TANAP will contribute to ensuring the energy security of both Türkiye and Europe,” Donmez told reporters, Report informs.
“Our cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of energy is not limited to the TANAP project. Azerbaijan planned that big investments should be made in the coming period to assess the potential of wind energy in its territory, especially on the coast of the Caspian Sea. The transit of renewable energy sources, which will be produced here through Türkiye to Europe, is also one of the topics we are discussing,” he added.
