Turkish official: Victory in Karabakh further increases Turkic world’s authority
The Director of Communications of the Turkish Presidential Administration, Fahrettin Altun, has commented on Azerbaijan's liberation of its territories from Armenian occupation, which is being celebrated on November 8.
"We will do our best to celebrate Azerbaijan's victory in the international arena every year. We will further strengthen our alliance. I reiterate that the Azerbaijani people and the Turkic world have not forgotten and will not forget the occupation of Karabakh by Armenia. Karabakh is an original Azerbaijani land", Altun stated, according to Haberturk.
The Turkish official also touched upon Azerbaijan's and Türkiye's successful fight against the black PR of the Armenian lobby.
"During the war, 'black PR' was carried out against the Azerbaijani army. Some forces turn a blind eye to the suffering that the Azerbaijani people have gone through. We will prevent such misinformation. We will talk about the Karabakh victory in music, cinema, literature - everywhere. Today Karabakh is free and will not be occupied anymore", the communications director stressed.
He noted that the victory in Karabakh further increased the authority of the Turkic world but added that some forces are today still trying to cast a shadow on Azerbaijan’s victory.
"We provided the international community with access to Azerbaijan's information about the fair fight. The Turkish-Azerbaijani joint media platform has become more relevant during this period. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have led this process”, Altun said.
He further stated, that "we acted together with our Azerbaijani brothers in the information war during the second Karabakh war. We were in constant contact with the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, my dear brother Hikmat Hajiyev".
