Turkish ports receive about 700,000 cruise passengers
The number of cruise ship passengers, who arrived in Türkiye in January-July 2023 increased by 83.6 per cent compared to the same period in 2022, to 692,000 people.
The number of cruise ships that arrived in Turkish ports in July 2023 increased by 28.3 percent compared to the same month in 2022, to 154, the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Anadolu reports.
At the same time, the number of cruise ship passengers, who arrived in Türkiye in the same period increased by 72.6 percent - up to 209,033 people.
The number of cruise ships that arrived in Turkish ports in seven months of the year increased by 31.4 percent to 574.
The Turkish port of Kusadasi received the largest number of cruise liners. During the first seven months of this year, 264 vessels arrived at the port with 372,831 passengers on board. The TOP 5 Turkish ports that received the largest number of cruise ships and passengers also include Istanbul, Cesme, Bodrum, and Canakkale.
