Turkish president congratulates Azerbaijan on national day, welcomes regional ceasefire
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extended his heartfelt congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of its national holiday—Independence Day—during a high-level trilateral summit held in the city of Lachin.
Speaking alongside Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President Erdoğan underscored the strength of Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations and conveyed best wishes to the Azerbaijani people on the national day, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
In his address, President Erdoğan also welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, noting it as a positive step toward ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The Turkish president arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the inauguration of Lachin International Airport and participate in Azerbaijan-Pakistan-Türkiye trilateral summit.
The trilateral summit in Lachin served as a platform for reaffirming the strong political, economic, and strategic ties between the three brotherly nations, and highlighted their joint commitment to promoting regional security, cooperation, and prosperity.
