Third Azerbaijan–Hungary strategic dialogue yields environmental MoU UPDATED
Azerbaijan and Hungary reinforced their strategic partnership during the 3rd session of the Azerbaijan–Hungary Strategic Dialogue in Budapest, highlighting cooperation in trade, energy, transport, and reconstruction efforts in liberated Azerbaijani territories. The meeting concluded with key agreements, including a Memorandum of Understanding on environmental protection.
The 3rd Azerbaijan–Hungary Strategic Dialogue took place in Budapest under the co-chairmanship of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
The sides commended the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries and examined its development trajectory.
Discussions focused on key sectors including trade, investment, energy, transport, and logistics, with an emphasis on exploring new avenues for bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to Hungary’s role in the reconstruction of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, particularly the restoration of Soltanli village in Jabrayil district.
The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation in environmental protection, alongside the protocol of the 3rd Azerbaijan–Hungary Strategic Dialogue.

The meeting comes as part of FM Bayramov’s ongoing working visit to Hungary, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing strategic discussions between the two countries.
The talks are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including economic collaboration, political dialogue, and potential initiatives in sectors such as trade, transport, energy, and education.
