Turkish president travels to South Africa for G20 summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has departed for South Africa to participate in the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit, according to Anadolu Agency.
Erdoğan is travelling with a high-level delegation that includes his wife, Emine Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Head of the Presidential Communications Office Burhanettin Duran, Chief of the Presidential Private Secretariat Hasan Doğan, and Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç.
Also accompanying the president are Ömer Çelik, Deputy Chair and Spokesperson of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), along with several other senior officials.
The delegation will represent Türkiye in discussions with world leaders on global economic, political, and security issues during the summit, which brings together the heads of the world’s largest economies.
