Türkiye and Azerbaijan strengthen energy partnership, says minister
Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, has praised the strong energy partnership between Ankara and Baku, describing it as “special” and mutually beneficial.
Bayraktar emphasised that trade with Azerbaijan continues on a fair and balanced basis, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Our relations are already very good, and that is their distinguishing feature. These are special ties,” the minister said.
“Within the framework of the ‘one nation, two states’ concept and the vision set by our presidents, we are making successful progress. Together, the two countries contribute significantly to the security of Türkiye and Europe, as well as to global oil markets.”
Bayraktar also highlighted cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in natural gas exports to Syria, adding:
“We advocate for the distribution of energy globally under conditions of peace and equality.”
