Türkiye’s defence giant establishes its subsidiary in Azerbaijan
A Turkish defence industry company has established a subsidiary in Azerbaijan, with the State Tax Service registering “Makine ve Kimya Azerbaijan” LLC.
The company’s legal address is 103 Zarifa Aliyeva Street, Sabail District, Baku, Caliber.Az reports via the Service.
Its authorised capital amounts to 1 million manats (around $588,000), and its legal representative is Turkish citizen Ilhami Keles, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the leading Turkish defence industry company Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi A.Ş.
As part of the broader economic cooperation between the two countries, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün noted during the 6th General Assembly of the “Turkish-Azerbaijani Businessmen and Industrialists” (TÜİB) Public Union held in Baku in May 2025 that more than 5,000 companies with Turkish capital are currently operating in Azerbaijan.
He also highlighted that bilateral trade turnover and mutual investments have been steadily increasing each year, underscoring the growing economic partnership between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
