The Turkish officials will hold discussions aimed at expanding military cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan during their meetings in Baku. This visit marks another significant step in the close defence collaboration between the two nations.

The 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, ADEX, will be held at the Baku Expo Center from September 24-26. It is the largest event in the region dedicated to the defence industry and coincides with the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety, and Rescue Equipment (Securex Caspian). Both exhibitions will feature participants from around the globe.

The ADEX exhibition, although celebrating its fifth anniversary, has been operating for ten years, growing its list of participants and sectors with each edition. In total, more than 30,000 visitors have attended throughout the years.

This year, the exhibition will utilize the entire area of the Baku Expo Center, including its newly opened 4th hall and outdoor spaces. A total of 270 companies from 38 countries are confirmed to participate. Countries taking part include Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, UAE, UK, Ukraine, and the United States, among others. New companies, which make up 34% of the total participants, will be featured at the exhibition this year. Hungary, Qatar, Singapore, and Slovakia are also new additions, marking their first participation since the 2022 edition.

Fourteen countries will have national pavilions, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Türkiye, and Ukraine. Compared to the previous event in 2022, the number of exhibitors has increased by 32%.

Traditionally, ADEX attracts high-level delegations and distinguished guests from various countries. This year, delegations from 27 nations are expected to attend, comprising over 300 representatives. The participating delegations will include officials from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bahrain, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Georgia, Jordan, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Somalia, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Croatia, and Vietnam.

The exhibition, known for its focus on the latest in defence technology, has consistently attracted global attention and continues to play a pivotal role in fostering international cooperation in the defence industry.
