Türkiye tests ASELFLIR 500 reconnaissance, surveillance, targeting system PHOTO
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol has said that an unfair embargo was imposed on Türkiye’s due to its support for fraternal Azerbaijan’s just cause in Karabakh.
“We have completed testing of the ASELFLIR 500 reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system. ASELFLIR 500 achieved at least 20-30 per cent better performance in terms of daytime and night vision, sensitivity for laser marking and other features in all flight tests compared to the systems of countries that embargoed us once,” Akyol said, Caliber.Az reports citing the message of SavunmaSanayiST.com on X.
He noted that ASELFLIR 500 is massively produced and it will be handed over to the security forces soon. At the same time, the lifting of the embargo was announced.
“The lifting of the embargo is positive for relations with friendly and allied countries. We thank them for assisting us to gain this opportunity. We have the best cameras now,” Akyol added.
