UK representative calls WUF13 "unique platform for global exchange"

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) has become a unique platform for experience-sharing among representatives of different countries and professional fields, Fergus Harradence, a UK Department for Business and Trade official, has stated during an event organised by the White City Pavilion at WUF13 in Baku.

Deputy Director for Construction, Logistics, Airports and Water Resources said the forum has seen a high level of engagement, activity and exchange of views in recent days, which will benefit all participants, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

“It is great to see people from different countries and professional backgrounds coming together to discuss global issues such as resource management, connectivity, sustainable urban development, and integrating the natural environment into planning and design,” Harradence noted.

The UK representative added that such international forums play a key role in shaping effective urban development strategies and strengthening cooperation between policymakers, architects, and urban planners worldwide.
