Ukrainian flag torched in Yerevan during protest over Zelenskyy’s visit VIDEO
A protest against the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took place at the Yerablur military cemetery in Yerevan, where one participant burned a Ukrainian flag, according to footage circulated by Armenian media.
The protester stated opposition to Zelenskyy’s visit, repeating claims about the use of “Ukrainian-supplied phosphorus weapons” during the war—an assertion that has not been substantiated by credible evidence.
“Our brothers lie here in eternal sleep — they were burned by phosphorus weapons sent from Ukraine. And today, the president of that country has arrived here as an honoured guest. We do not intend to become accomplices to this disgrace,” a protest participant said.
The incident follows a similar episode in recent days, when a Turkish flag was burned during a torchlight march in Yerevan.
