Ukrainian army receives S-300 anti-aircraft systems from partner countries

The anti-aircraft units of the “South” Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received S-300 anti-aircraft missile system from the partner countries, which allowed the country’s army to significantly strengthen the air defence capabilities in south.

The news was confirmed by the Air Defense Command of the Ukrainian military, according to Ukrinform.

“The S-300 air defense system effectively performs against many objects of the Russian invaders and can shoot down aircraft, cruise, and ballistic missiles at a distance of 5 to 150 kilometres. At the same time, it doesn’t matter at what distance the target flies – 10 metres or 27 kilometres,” the officials at the Command said.

The system has already been involved in the military tasks, according to the Command.
