Ukrainian forces deploy British Terrahawk Paladin air‑defence systems PHOTO
The 156th anti‑aircraft missile regiment of Ukraine’s Air Force has begun operating newly delivered British Terrahawk Paladin systems.
In a video posted by X user Jeff2146, additional radar shielding on the system, mounted on a MAN HX chassis but capable of being unloaded and positioned separately, is shown, Caliber.Az reports.
Terrahawk Paladin is equipped with a 30‑mm Mark 44 Bushmaster II cannon, with an optional 40‑mm configuration available.
Its integrated sensors and 360‑degree radar enable detection, tracking and engagement of aerial, ground and maritime targets at short range.
Developed by MSI Defence Systems, the Terrahawk transfer to Ukraine was announced in October 2023 as part of British military assistance, though the exact number of units was not disclosed.
Ukraine earlier received all four German‑funded Skynex air‑defence systems produced by Rheinmetall.
