UN considers global nuclear conflict unthinkable

The UN considers even the very idea of a nuclear conflict in the world unthinkable, while the use of chemical or biological weapons would be terrible. This was stated on Tuesday at a briefing by the official representative of the Secretary General of the world organization Stephane Dujarric, answering a question about the relevant risks in the context of the crisis in Ukraine, TASS reports.

“As we said, even the very idea of a nuclear conflict is unthinkable. It goes without saying that the use of any chemical or biological weapon would be horrendous and would go against international law,” Dujarric said.
