Un-Habitat president: WUF13 to shape future urban planning policies

Urban planning policies will be developed within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Nga Kor Ming, Malaysia’s Minister of Housing, Local Government, has stated.

At a press conference dedicated to the opening of WUF13 in Baku, he thanked Azerbaijan for creating such a large-scale platform, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Earlier, Nga Kor Ming, who also serves as President of the UN-Habitat Assembly, said his country has expressed interest in partnering with Azerbaijan on smart cities and smart villages initiatives.

“We see significant potential for cooperation with Azerbaijan in this area, including in the development of smart regions. We are encouraged and pleased to see Azerbaijan embarking on this path, and we would certainly like to be part of this process,” he noted.
