Unilateral nature of EU mission to Armenia casts doubt on its effectiveness Russian MFA spox says

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Armenia is unilaterally inviting the EU monitoring mission to Armenia without taking Azerbaijan's opinion into account.

This could raise doubts about the effectiveness of the mission, TASS quoted Peskov as saying.

"The question is what is the subject of the observation and whether this mission is recognised by the Azerbaijani side," the Kremlin spokesman said. - "I doubt that such a mandate will meet with understanding there".

"This is Yerevan's one-sided decision. It is worth questioning the potential effectiveness of such a mission," Peskov added.
