US–Azerbaijan Chamber hosts TRIPP roundtable on Eurasian connectivity PHOTO
A roundtable discussion titled “TRIPP – Eurasian Connectivity in the New U.S. Strategic Landscape” was held at the US–Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC).
During the talks, Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Ibrahim emphasised the importance of building on the current momentum in implementing the TRIPP project, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijan Embassy in the U.S.
The discussions featured contributions from the ambassadors of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Officials from the US State Department and the Department of Commerce also took part in the event.
TRIPP is a strategic regional infrastructure project aimed at linking mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic exclave via Armenia’s Syunik region.
The initiative was endorsed through a declaration on August 8, 2025, in Washington, signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, alongside U.S. President Donald Trump. TRIPP is designed to act both as a peace-building tool and a major logistics corridor.
Key components include new rail and road connections, oil and gas pipelines, fibre-optic networks, and power transmission lines. The broader vision is to integrate South Caucasus countries into the “Middle Corridor” trade route connecting Europe and Asia, enhancing regional transit, trade, and economic diversification.
