US president denies initiating peace talks with Iran
US President Donald Trump has firmly denied claims that he has initiated peace talks with Iran, dismissing recent media reports suggesting otherwise.
Trump addressed the matter directly on his Truth Social platform, stating unequivocally that no such diplomatic outreach has taken place, Caliber.Az reports.
“I have not reached out to Iran for ‘Peace Talks’ in any way, shape, or form. This is just more highly fabricated, fake news! If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have taken the deal that was on the table - Would have saved a lot of lives!!!” the post reads.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, as speculation continues over potential backchannel communications aimed at de-escalating the ongoing conflict in the region.
