US statements heighten tensions on Korean Peninsula Russian Foreign Ministry says

The Russian Foreign Ministry has criticized a recent statement from the US Congress regarding potential military action if North Korean forces are detected in Ukraine, arguing that such remarks escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko expressed concern, stating, “These provocative statements only serve to increase the tension in the region,” Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.

Rudenko also indicated that North Korea will not delay in ratifying the Agreement on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Moscow, adding, “I believe the Korean side will not take much time in this matter.”
