USAID pledges $5m to Armenia for cloud infrastructure collaboration With Amazon Web Services
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide Armenia with $5 million in funding to support cooperation with Amazon Web Services to implement cloud infrastructure, the Armenian government's press service announced after a meeting in Yerevan between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and USAID Administrator Samantha Power.
"The interlocutors touched upon the programs implemented by USAID in our country and exchanged ideas on the prospects of new joint programs. They stressed the importance of joint work on the implementation of the reform agenda and development of the Armenian government's institutional capacity, including in terms of strategic communications, as well as further expansion and promotion of interaction," Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
Pashinyan emphasized the importance of cooperation in various fields within the framework of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue and praised the programs implemented by USAID in Armenia aimed at the development of democratic institutions.
"The prime minister noted that the government of the Republic of Armenia will resolutely continue consistent steps for the implementation of reforms," the Armenian government press service stated.
Power highlighted that the US administration is ready to consistently support the Armenian government's programs to strengthen democracy, and development, and increase the country's sustainability.
