Visa-free travel between Morocco, Azerbaijan to take effect soon
The Moroccan embassy in Azerbaijan has announced that the visa waiver agreement between Morocco and Azerbaijan will officially take effect on August 28.
From this date, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to visit Morocco without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, provided their passports are valid for at least 180 days from the date of entry. Moroccan citizens will enjoy the same visa-free privileges when visiting Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing the Moroccan embassy in Azerbaijan.
The embassy also noted that August 28 marks the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco were officially established on August 28, 1992.
Azerbaijan established an embassy in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, while Morocco has an embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan's capital. These diplomatic missions have played a crucial role in fostering bilateral relations. Economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco is still in the developing stage, but both countries see potential in various sectors such as energy, agriculture, tourism, and education.
