Western Azerbaijan Community hosts meeting with Turkish envoy PHOTO

The Western Azerbaijan Community has hosted a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci.

The embassy's official Zeynep Kivilcim and the third secretary Gencehan Babis visited the community building, Report informs.

The heads of the main bodies of the Community - Chairman of the Board Aziz Alakbarli, Deputy Chairman of the Board Ramil Hasan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Misir Mardanov, Chairman of the Council of Elders Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairwoman of the Women's Council Malahat Ibrahimgizi, and Chairman of the Youth Council Ramin Mammadov took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the ambassador was briefed that the Armenian government refuses to take steps to restore the rights of expelled Azerbaijanis and continues to deny them the right to live in their homeland.

The international community's support is critical for ensuring the recognised rights of expelled Azerbaijanis within the framework of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international conventions.
