Western Azerbaijan Community warns Armenian revanchists
The Western Azerbaijan Community has condemned the provocative statements made on September 2 by Armenian revanchist forces and remnants of the separatist regime.
These statements threaten Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, including the aspirations of those who, relying on their Western backers, dream of "returning to Karabakh under international guarantees" and deny the rights of Western Azerbaijanis to return, Caliber.Az reports.
The Western Azerbaijan Community issued a statement criticising the Armenian government.
"We have repeatedly urged the Armenian government to end the activity of forces within its territory that oppose Azerbaijan's sovereignty. However, the Armenian government not only fails to take action but, while professing peace, encourages anti-Azerbaijani measures. The comfortable functioning of the so-called 'Repatriation Commission' led by a former foreign minister in Armenia, is unacceptable. We declare that if Armenia does not abandon this dangerous policy, we will begin making efforts to establish the government of Western Azerbaijan in exile within the Republic of Azerbaijan and will petition the Azerbaijani parliament to create a parliamentary commission for the return to Western Azerbaijan," the statement says.
