Xi Jinping advocates for strengthened China-Italy relations during meeting with Italian PM
Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for stronger, more stable, and long-term strategic relations between China and Italy.
The statement was made during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who is on an official visit to China, Caliber.Az reports, citing Chinese media.
President Xi emphasized the importance of upholding and promoting the spirit of the Silk Road in fostering bilateral relations. "China and Italy should view and develop bilateral relations from a historical, strategic, and long-term perspective, and promote stability and long-term development of China-Italy relations," he stated.
Highlighting the mutual benefits, Xi stressed that "the healthy and stable development of China-Italy relations is in the common interests of the two countries and peoples." His remarks underscore China's commitment to deepening ties with Italy, focusing on sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation.
