Zangilan conference highlights mine problem, humanitarian law violations OIC representative says
The 3rd international conference in Zangilan plays a crucial role in raising awareness about the mine problem, President of the Islamic Forum of International Humanitarian Law (Organization of Islamic Cooperation), Oussedik Fawzi told journalists.
Fawzi emphasized the significance of the event in disseminating information and fostering cultural development, per Report.
“I am glad that I came to Karabakh and I am amazed at the great and professional work that has been done here. I also see that this region is taking on a new life. Today's dialogue is very important for the dissemination of information as well as cultural development,” he said.
Fawzi highlighted the severe implications of landmines, labeling their use as a serious violation of international humanitarian law. He commended the efforts in Karabakh to address the mine problem and noted the positive changes taking place in the region.
