Azerbaijan approves rules for accreditation of foreign media

"Rules of accreditation of representatives of foreign mass media in the Republic of Azerbaijan" have been approved.

These rules have been approved by the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Q / 04-22 of August 1, Report informs.

This document defines that the accreditation of representatives of foreign media is regulated by the law "On Media", relevant interstate agreements and these Rules.

In accordance with Article 11.3 of the Media Law, accreditation of foreign media representatives in Azerbaijan is carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

When a foreign state imposes restrictions on the professional activities of representatives of the Azerbaijani media included in the media register, such restrictions may be imposed on the activities of representatives of the media of this foreign state in Azerbaijan.
